It's Elephant Day
Hi, I’m Elephant, you can call me Eli (Ele)! Today's World Elephant Day, to let people remember to protect elephants!
It was originally founded by the Elephant Reintroduction Foundation, on August 12th, 2012, so now, this day is Elephant Day! Did you know that we’re 4-legged mammals, and that our scientific name’s “Elephantidae”?
We’re actually famous for our trunk and tusks (teeth). And there comes Tigger!
Hi, Eli! Friends, I think that since elephants like Eli here are endangered, we should stop killing them for a while, so that their numbers can grow back, and then we can start doing those things using their tusks, but we still can't kill too many, or else, we'll have to restart our process. See, if we do things that way, numbers of elephants will increase, and we can do what we want, while the elephants don't go extinct! What do you think, Eli?
Yeah, I like it!
So, bye friends, we’re off for some tea!
