Wisconsin Police Shoot Black Man 7 Times

2 days ago, Wisconsin police shot a black man, identified as Jacob Blake, 7 times as he tried to get into the driver seat of an SUV. It is unclear who called the police, and why they shot him, but according to officials, he’s still alive and in the ICU, intensive care unit. The incident is still being investigated, and protests have already broken out in Kenosha, a port city in southeastern Wisconsin.

Since videos show Jacob Blake close to the police, so in my opinion, why didn't the police just run up to him? Why use deadly force when you know the victim was at the time likely unarmed? Yes, you could hold your gun out, but just seizing him and telling him he was under arrest because of whatever charges he had would’ve been better than using force that might kill him, right?
