You might be wondering by now why the shooting might have been necessary since Blake was seemingly unarmed at the time, so it wasn't a time to use deadly force, but the truth is that though videos don't show this, this black man was actually armed with what you might call a “Taser,” a gun that shoots darts that could make someone temporarily paralyzed. And that is why police shot him, because no matter what kind it is, when you see a gun, your first reaction is: “Oh no, I've got to shoot him, or else he’ll shoot me, and that's likely what police thought and why they shot him.

I think that the policeman who shot Blake thought to do it as a defense, not an offense.
