Update: Vaccine Trial Resumes

This is the New News Newshour, updating on the pausing of AstraZeneca's vaccine trial.

A few days ago, AstraZeneca paused its vaccine trials after one of the volunteers caught an unexplained illness.

But now, after a couple of days, the trials are finally resuming to normal, when they got the “green light from safety watchdogs, whatever that means.

The patient involved was reported to be suffering from neurological symptoms related to a rare spinal inflammatory disorder, known as “Transverse myelitis”.

For me, I’m glad that this vaccine could continue to develop, because the more vaccines in development, the more chances that one or more would succeed. But don’t worry, there’s like 171 vaccines in development, according to https://ncov2019.live/.
