Update: Sally Hits Gulf Coast
This is the Newshour, giving the latest on hurricane Sally.
The hurricane, known as “Sally”, hit the Gulf Coast as a category 2 storm, slamming catastrophic rain and flooding into the Coast.
But now, the once category 2 Sally is only a tropical storm, crawling north-northeast at 7 mph, near Dothan, Alabama.
Though it is weakening in wind speed, the rain is still very dangerous, especially in eastern Alabama and western Georgia.
Downtown Pensacola was submerged in 3 to 4 feet of rain Wednesday morning, and Sally even destroyed the Pensacola bridge.
In my opinion, if you’re living somewhere near the Gulf Coast right now, then be careful for Sally and other storms, and if you can stay, stay home as much as possible, because at least it could provide you with food and shelter until things are safe again.
