No Violence Today!

September 21, 2020129 words1 min read

Today is International Day of Peace, and you know what that means... No violence for today!

This day was created by the United Nations General Assembly on November 30th, 1981, and encourages it to be a “day of global ceasefire and non-violence”.

The is a theme for each year’s celebration, and the theme for 2020 is: “Shaping peace together”. Celebrate the day by spreading kindness, hope, and compassion in the face of the pandemic.

The symbol for International Day of Peace is often the dove, because the Bible describes the dove as a symbol of the “Holy Spirit”, and that it defines the presence of God.

I think about it even if you don't believe in the stories, it’s best to know that God can make this day peaceful.
