Protect Rhinos, Don't Go Hunting For Their Horns!
Isn't that rhino “cute”? OK, not that cute, but anyway, welcome to “World of Rhinos”!
Today is World Rhino Day, to honor rhinos or something, blah, blah, blah, but I think we should change its theme to something like: “Protect rhinos, don't go hunting for their horns!” Because honestly, these species are being hunted down all over the world, for their horns, which could, in theory, cure cancer, and other diseases when used properly.
And in case you didn't know, rhinos’, or rhinoceros’ scientific name is “Rhinocerotidae”, and that their high classification is “Odd-toed Ungulate”. Also, they have horns that allow them to fight.
It is those horns that we want for medicine, so we kill the rhinos, but something’s really off about it: There isn’t proof that it works! So maybe we shouldn't kill these animals, just for something that “maybe” could cure diseases.
And that’s what I think this day should be all about!
