United Nations General Assembly Held “Half-Online”
With the United Nations General Assembly coming around, the Coronavirus is making things harder for the UN, and because the we don't want any more outbreaks and stuff like that, the UN is holding the assembly “half-online”, with some pre-recorded speeches, and some in-person ones.
Regular General Assembly sessions begin annually on a Tuesday, on the third week of September, and ends in December, then resumes in January until all issues in the agenda are discussed.
But almost never before was there one assembly that was held online, or “half-online”, so this year, it must be very special, and if you want to watch, visit http://webtv.un.org/live/.
With some physically present and others virtually, it must be awkward in an almost empty assembly hall in New York! But nevermind, it wouldn’t last forever!
