Rules On Trump-Biden Debate To Change

October 1, 2020153 words1 min read

Looks like Trump wouldn’t dare interrupt Biden (or vice versa) again, because, after the first chaotic debate, the Commission on Presidential Debates has decided to make a few “rule changes” so that both candidates can speak uninterrupted.

It isn't official yet, but a measure might be that if a candidate interrupts the other, his microphone will be muted. I think that would certainly “interrupt” his interruption. Even if he is still talking after the mic mute, it wouldn't matter much, since there will be no sound, though it might be a pick up by the other’s mic

Yes, I know it sounds crazy and possibly “rude” to interrupt an interruption, but it's better than listening to two 70+ year-olds babble nonsense, right?

By the way, the 2nd presidential debate of 2020 will take place on Oct 15th, from 9-10:30 PM ET. The moderator will be Steven L. Scully, from the C-SPAN television network.
