Lies, Lies, & More Lies

October 7, 2020168 words1 min read

Trump, 45th President of the U.S., is posting comments on Twitter and Facebook. This isn't surprising, of course, these apps are like the “American-Wechat”, but when those comments aren’t true, then it could be lead to some bad consequences. Here's an example from not long ago.

It all started when Trump exited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, after 72 hours of treatment for Covid there. After a few days, he tweeted that Covid-19 wasn't as dangerous as the seasonal flu. But records show that in the U.S. alone, the pandemic has killed almost 216,000, and the flu deaths in the U.S. as of 2019-2020 are an estimate of 21,900. That means Covid-19 is much more dangerous than the flu. That also means that Trump was lying.

Luckily, these postings on Facebook and Twitter have been blocked or removed by the system, so no fake-info could be spread.

This all tells us one thing: Don't lie. Not the citizens, nor the government, or even the president, should lie.
