Breaking (& Bad) News: Japan To Release Contaminated Water Into Sea

This is the Newshour with some breaking and also bad news, I’m Tigger.

Almost a decade has passed since the Fukushima nuclear disaster, and Japan’s government is aiming for a quick decision on how to deal with the contaminated water caused by the incident. Japan has decided to release over 1 million tons of the contaminated water into the sea, media reports said on Friday, and here's my opinion on that.

Since the Japanese government admitted that they couldn't filter out all the harmful radioactive particles, releasing it into the ocean would only do more harm to the environment and marine life. Releasing the harmful water could also harm us, yes, us, because with sea animals poisoned, there's no way to eat them, much less sell them as products. It would also do the same to neighboring countries, like South Korea. So I think you should think twice before releasing harmful water into the sea, because even though it's a relatively easy way to get rid of it, there would be bigger consequences that are even harder to correct.
