Walmart: Guns & Ammo Are Pulled From Displays In The U.S.

October 30, 2020154 words1 min read

George Floyd, Walter Wallace Jr., and more Black killings of 2020 has resulted in Walmart Inc., the American multinational retail corporation operating tons of hypermarkets, to pull firearms and ammunition from the shelves of U.S. stores. This is due to fear of any potential theft of these ammo and firearms if stores were broken into amid social unrest.

That doesn't mean you couldn't purchase guns at these stores anymore. Even though Walmart spokesman Kory Lundberg said they had moved them off the sales floor, he didn’t say they weren't selling them. You could still buy firearms upon request, though as before, you must have a license to even buy the smallest ammunition, let alone firearms.

Guns sure are cool, but how you use one depends on you! So I think taking them off the sales floor was a good idea, because you don't want to repeat what happened at a Texas store in 2019.
