It’s Election Day!
The first Tuesday after Nov 1st, the day that Americans vote for a new president, vice president, and members of Congress, the day that can change the course of history; Election Day, is today.
This American holiday that is celebrated at the earliest on Nov 2nd, and could be, by the latest, on Nov 8th, was passed by the United States Congress on Jan 23rd, 1845, becoming a history-changing day every year for U.S.
Even though we’re used to presidential election results coming out every four years on Election Day, this day is also a day when Americans elect other government officials, such as Congress members, which are held every two years, called midterm elections, halfway in a president’s term.
Election results are often announced on Election Night, or tomorrow if you are in China, though since it’s 2020, and nothing’s certain, don’t be surprised if no results come.
I think Election Day is a good idea, results usually come out on one day that is pre-determined.
