Sesame Street Day Is Today!

November 10, 2020160 words1 min read

Hi there, me is Elmo! Today, Elmo is going to tell you about Sesame Street Day!

We need to start with the animated series “Sesame Street”, created by American television producer Joan Ganz Cooney and psychologist Lloyd Morrisett. The first episode of the 50-season series was released on November 10th, 1969, making Sesame Street Day today. The original purpose of Sesame Street was to provide uplifting education programming to young children, with lots of different characters, different in color and size. Even though Elmo is very popular, Elmo didn't join the bunch until 1979. Before then, there was Oscar the Grouch, Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, etc. Why does Elmo refer to me as the third person? Elmo doesn’t know, but Elmo thinks it’s to tell people to remember me is “Elmo”.

Elmo likes Sesame Street Day, Elmo can watch me on TV! Do you like this holiday? If you do, be sure to watch the series too!
