International (Crazy, Funny, & Dangerous) Guinness World Records Day Is Today!
Crazy, hilarious, and dangerous, people have been risking their lives to break Guinness World Records since it was founded in 1955. Trust me, there's even this International Guinness World Records Day, celebrated on the Thursday of the 2nd full week in Nov.
In 1954, Sir Hugh Beaver thought that a book of world records could settle pub arguments, so he invited the twins Norris and Ross McWhirter to write a book full of facts and figures. A book of world records has been published since, containing records from the longest fingernails to the longest beard. And about Guinness World Records Day, it’s just a day to let you remember about the Guinness records.
“I think all this has taught us that anything could be done if you try,” Tigger said, “maybe someday, I'll get the record for longest hair.”
Do you want to break, or better yet, create a world record? Then it’s time to start trying!
