The Hyperloop Of The Future!
Want to get to faraway places super fast? Then the technology of the hyperloop fits you! And it’s not far from now until it is available publicly.
Hyperloops have been something of the future for the past several years, since Elon Musk, CEO of private aerospace company SpaceX and the guy behind Tesla, mentioned it in a PandoDaily “fireside chat” in July of 2012. The idea is to construct a near-vacuum tube, which has less friction. Then there’ll be “pods” transporting people or cargo magnetically levitated inside, which when started moving, goes super fast. It seems easy, but only one company worldwide has been able to successfully test one, Virgin Hyperloop, and that only happened on Nov 8th of this year.
“Virgin Hyperloop’s new transportation technology has been recognized as the first new mode of mass transportation in over 100 years. It’s a very historical moment,” says Tigger. “The problem is since Virgin Hyperloop said that its pod could reach more than 1000 km/h, it means it will be 3× faster than high-speed rail, so maybe I have to drink my water before I get on board, that is until this hyperloop is actually publicly affordable. Because you really don’t want water spilled all over you when you arrive at your destination.” He also adds that you can find out more at https://virginhyperloop.com/.
This is the Newshour, bye!
