“World’s Deepest” Swimming Pool Opens In Poland
The New News Newsminute has some very exciting news today, which is that the “world’s deepest” swimming pool has just opened in Poland on Nov 25th, 2020.
The swimming pool, called DeepSpot, lives up to its name, with a depth of over 45 meters, or around 148 feet. Containing 8,000 cubic meters of water – 20 times the amount of a 25-meter pool – it is intended to act as a training and practice site for all levels of divers.
Costing an estimated $10.6 million, the impressive facility is fitted with a simulated “blue hole”, which runs down to the pool’s deepest point. It also has a small shipwreck, as well as artificial underwater caves and ruins for divers to explore. It also includes an underwater tunnel and hotel rooms.
“I have always wanted to go diving, and now, it looks like I wouldn’t need to go to the ocean to do it!” Says Tigger. “The only problem now is my age. It looks like I am a bit young to go diving, so I still have to wait for a few years!”
