Covid-19: CDC Shortens Recommended Quarantine Period

The New News Newsminute is here with an update related to Covid-19, which is that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, has shortened the recommended quarantine period if a person has been exposed to the Coronavirus.

Before, the recommended quarantine period was 2 weeks, or 14 days, which means that you should not get into close contact with other people for that period after you were exposed. Now it’s that period that’s being shortened, from 14 days to 10 days. That is, of course, that you have no symptoms. There’s also the option of a quarantine of only a week, 7 days, which should only end if the individual tests negative and reports no symptoms.

“The CDC has taken this action most likely because some people can’t afford 2 weeks out of school or work,” said Dr.Tigger after he had heard of this news. “Of course, it’s better to just do the proper and maybe safer 2-week quarantine and stop the spread of this virus quickly.”
