Goodbye Trump, Hello Biden!

December 15, 2020150 words1 min read

As Inauguration Day, which occurs once every four years in the U.S. on Jan 20th, nears, the Electoral College is now voting and officially declaring the next president of the U.S.

Even though the people have voted, the Electoral College, which has 538 electors, will have to meet and vote on Monday, Dec 14th, or yesterday in the U.S., and the new president is declared.

With the electoral college in place, a candidate must at least win half plus one of the electoral votes, or 270 electoral votes, to be elected president.

“Of course, the electors vote in the name of the people, and since a majority will vote for Biden, it’s an almost certain victory for him,” says Tigger in a morning interview. “So it’s time to say goodbye to Trump, and hello to Biden, I guess.”

That has been a production of the New News Newsminute, thank you.
