Pfizer: Vaccine Vials Contain Extra Doses
With the first batch of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine already delivered to sites all over the U.S., people have discovered something strange about it: The vaccine vials contain extra doses than told.
The vials should contain a maximum of five doses, which could provide immunity for two people, and one dosage remaining since the recommended amount per person is two doses. But with the exciting discovery that some vials could contain up to six or even, in some cases, seven doses, there would be an expanded supply. Meaning more could be vaccinated.
It may seem surprising, but some vaccine manufacturers tend to overfill the vials, for whatever reason.
“It’s an interesting discovery,” says Dr.Tigger in a morning interview today. “We should use every last bit available because, in a situation like this pandemic, we need everything we have to keep it under control.”
