Trump Urges Georgia Secretary Of State To “Find” Votes In Call

January 5, 2021160 words1 min read

Sitting president Donald Trump, scheduled to leave office on Jan 20th, is still trying to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election, being recently overheard on a phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, urging Georgia officials to “find” more votes.

Georgia, which has counted its presidential votes three times, one of them a hand count, had certified that Joe Biden won the state by 11,779 votes. In the phone call, Trump wanted to find 11,780 votes, one more than Biden to win the election.

“But “finding” votes to overturn an election isn’t easier said than done. Votes wouldn’t just turn up on your doorstep overnight,” said Tigger in an interview yesterday. “There could be votes not counted out there, though presumably not as much as the president wants. If I were Raffensperger, I would have to leave that to the president because it is not my job to do that.”

That has been the New News Newsminute, thank you.
