“Half-Successful, Half-Unsuccessful” Space Launch

February 17, 2021159 words1 min read

A space launch is always interesting to watch, the “3, 2, 1, lift-off,” the stage separation, and the best part, when the mission got completed, and everyone is applauding.

Though this SpaceX mission, a satellite mission aboard a Falcon 9 booster rocket, didn’t go as expected. Everything was going according to plan; The blastoff, the separation, and the launching of 60 Starlink satellites. Then it happened. When the first stage pulled away and attempted to land on the company’s drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You,” which had been floating in the Atlantic, the rocket was confirmed to have missed its target, plunging into the ocean. If successful, it would have been the sixth recovery of the booster.

“At least the point of the mission, to launch the satellites, got completed,” said Tigger after the unexpected accident. “Just don’t let it happen again, and everything would be all right.”

That has been the New News Newsminute, thank you.
