Six Dr.Seuss Books Will No Longer Be Published
Theodor Seuss Geisel, known widely as Dr.Seuss, wrote many funny rhyming books filled with cartoons. Many of them still live on, like the classics “The Cat In The Hat” and “Green Eggs And Ham.” Even though not all of them are appreciated, six of them have just got said to no longer be published.
These books were: “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street,” “If I Ran the Zoo,” “McElligog’s Pool,” “The Cat’s Quizzer,” “On Beyond Zebra!” and “Scrambled Eggs Super!”. In a statement Tuesday, the birthday of Dr.Seuss, Dr.Seuss Enterprises announced the decision after consulting educators reviewing its catalog, saying they “portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.”
Though these books will no longer get published, there are still many others waiting to get read. So why not read them? That has been the New News Newsminute, thank you.
