Mario, Super Mario, Big Mushroom. Do you know what I’m saying? Even though you might have never heard of Mario Day, you can still easily guess its meaning by name.

Mario gets featured in the platform game series Super Mario, created by Nintendo. Mario is known worldwide as one of the most famous video game characters ever and one of the oldest games. And many of his fans celebrate him today, though it wasn’t always like that. Mario Day got started by Mario Fascitelli as “a day for all persons named Mario.” It got chosen to be on Mar 10th because MAR10 looks like “MARIO.” Nintendo started celebrating it officially in 2016. Now, the character is the main focus, but if your name’s Mario, you could still celebrate it.
