When it comes to pipes, taps, and sinks, some people will get a headache. If you do the wrong thing, then chances are your house will be filled with water. But plumbing plays a pretty huge role in our health.

The World Plumbing Council works year-round to promote the benefits of safe plumbing. And in 2010, it decided to go further, launching an entire day dedicated to plumbing. And that day, known as World Plumbing Day, is on Mar 11th. The idea is that annually today, people worldwide would pause to reflect on the vital role plumbing plays in preserving our health and in building sustainable disease-free futures for millions in the developing world. Why did your parents keep telling you to wash your hands after going to the bathroom? You are washing off many germs and stuff that could cause serious infections.

And you could spread the awareness to others that plumbing and sanitization can cut the germs and bacteria in their path. Indeed, plumbing is not only about making your bathroom cleaner but also keeping you healthy as well.
