International Children's Day
Happy International Children's Day!
You probably know this day, well, usually, children do.
It's a day to honor children, every child. Yes, you heard me right, children.
Stretching back as far as the 1930’s, 1925 to be exact. Children's Day was first proclaimed at the World Conference on Children Welfare in Geneva, and it has been celebrated annually on June 1st in most countries, ever since.
The United Nations’ (UN) established Universal Children's Day, celebrated on November 20th.
There are also a few other holidays today, such as Dare Day, dedicated to daring other people. And also Milk Day, which is sort of a day to drink only milk, or something like that.
Tigger thinks that: “ There were so many exciting holidays today, that I could not decide which to write about, so I wrote a bit of each one.”
