Whoosh! Who Was That?!
Have you ever wondered what is Global Wind Day? Well, if not, then today, you will find out!
First, you need to know what is wind, and how it works.
Wind, as you might already know, are moving air currents, caused by different air patterns and pressures, when they move, air either gets “squeezed” out or “sucked” in. This is like when a half-full water bottle is squeezed, the air comes out, but when that force is released, the air get’s sucked in again. The same with wind, only the force is invisible.
Now you know what's the wind, then do you know what's Global Wind Day? It's kind of a day to remember the winds, and the science behind it. We also make wind turbines these days, to use the power of winds, and transform it into energy to use.
Speaking of winds, there is a mythology behind it, too, and that is Zeus. He is god of the sky, and the things in it. Tigger thinks Zeus must have been super angry during some particular storm, and that's the reason there are storms at all.
