Squawk, Squawk!

Hi there! I'm a Bald Eagle. Actually, I'm not bald, they just think my head looked a bit “bald”. To tell the truth, I’m mostly dark brown, but my tail and head are white. Though males are smaller than females, we’re all part of the Haliaeetus species.

Long ago, the founders of the United States decided to make a seal, but for three times, they didn't settle on one. But finally, the secretary of congress, Charles Thomson, figured out a good solution, he took all the parts he thought were important, and made it into one.

That was how the “Eagle Flag” was made, eagles were thought to be a sign of strength, so it was used.

And speaking of the Bald Eagle, today's… American Bald Eagle Day! It was created by, hmmm, the president, let's see… Yes! Ronald Reagan, on January 28th, 1982, for just one simple reason: To remember Bald (or not bald) Eagles!

My best friend Tigger says he thinks eagle are amazing, and I gotta say, I agree!
