Chocolate Day
Oh, hi there, my friends, I was just talking to Mr. Chocolate! You see, it's kind of like World Chocolate Day, so he is here to enjoy the day in his honor!
Mmm… Mr. Chocolate, if you don't mind, can you tell us about how chocolate is made, and about Chocolate Day?
Aha, yes, of course. Chocolate, as you might have already know, is made from roasted and ground cocoa seeds, then made into the form a liquid, block, or paste, sometimes used in other foods. The word “Chocolate” refers to the Spanish word “Chocolate”, it stems from the Aztec word “xocolati”, meaning “bitter water”.
Over time, people started to like this treat, and they made this “Chocolate Day” or something, and it's today, ‘cause some people claim chocolate was introduced to Europe in 1550 on this day.
Thank you, Mr. Chocolate, for the lesson on Chocolate and it’s day. Yummy, the tray of chocolate is here! Let's eat, Mr. Chocolate!
