Factors for staying healthy:

Exercise & sleep

Access to medical care

Factors for being unhealthy:

Not enough or none of the factors for being healthy are done

Too much stress

Disease = ‘A Condition That Results in Ill Health’

Communicable (infectious diseases): these diseases spread from person to person. They can be caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites or fungi. An example is the common cold

Non-Communicable (not infectious): they do not spread, and usually last longer than communicable diseases. An example is asthma

Links Between Diseases:

Example 1: when the immune system is weakened, it raises the chances of that person catching a communicable disease

Example 2: HPV can lead to cervical cancer (cancer is bad for our bodies)

Example 3: Our physical health can affect our mental health. When we experience something physically super-bad, we tend to develop depression or chronic anxiety
